Why am i writing this? Dunno… maybe coz i cant sleep and also maybe coz person number 1 is suppose to pick me in her new car at 7am! Oh maybe it’s because i jes bought an overpriced Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard so im testing it out, Duh! Anyway happy guessing! Hehe. And No ! I wont give you the answers to protect their identities.

This morning was emailing the group about her Grand-aunt’s good friend who passed away yesterday. She was 79 by the way. Anyway on the final line of her email she wrote

"Pls enjoy ur life as much as you can. cos we never know what is goin to happen to us on the next second"…

Somehow when i was replying her email the words from a song i havent heard in years started popping up in my head… I couldnt remember the name of the song initially.. all i know there was a parody of it called Drink Beer. After a short search on the web, i found out the song was named Wear Sunscreen. The song contains some great messages about life which is actually a speech by Baz Luhrman (Director of Romeo+Juliet).

Here is the trailer for The Banquet as i had commented in my previous blog.. If you decide to catch the movie, hopefully you wont catch it at Star Cineplex or wont have the same experience as i had.

Just finish watching  the movie - The Banquet starring the luscious Zhang ZiYi and Daniel Wu at our local cinema. To tell you the truth i really didnt understand the movie all that much coupled with the fact that Star Cineplex sux big time.

Entered the cinema late while waiting for my colleagues to arrive. Its our Malaysian custom to be fashionably late so i cant really blame them. 10 minutes into the movie, when the New Emperor Li and Zhang ZiYi’s Empress Wan started steaming up the screen with some hot action when the screen in the cinema went totally white. We initially thought that this was the Malaysian Censors playing a trick on us by giving us the audio minus the visuals. We could clearly hear some moaning and groaning when the screen went totally white. But almost 3 minutes had passed and still it was white as snow. So I Brandon  Chan being such a gud sport and sensing some technical problem with the projecting equipment, decided to get them to sort the f*cking mess out. As i stepped out, my two colleagues Ah Shan and Mary finally made their grand entrance… We joked that the cinema management decided to pause the show while awaiting their arrival.

Once all the messed was sorted out and i made our way to our seats AGAIN.. we were now abit ‘mong cha cha’ coz the movie started again at a fight scene. Niways the movie was running fine for about half an hour went it happened again. This time the screen went black and their was also no audio - like Astro on a rainy day. So i again took a short walk outside to get the cinemasses to sort this crap out. To tell u the truth if i didnt go out there, ppl would jes be sitting there complaining but doin nothing… People have you heard of Action Speak Louder Than Words kah… Tiao here and there wont get the damn thing to play bah… KNS hehee.

This cinema ppl also one kind one… at least rewind the damn thing abit so we wont be so mong cha cha bah… So sat thru the movie trying to understand not only the chinese but also the story line. All i know Zhang ZiYi damn hot lar… and using her feminine whiles to get the Emperor to give her massage heehe.

The storyline abit slow for my liking … its a two hours movie and there was alot of slow-motion camera action especially during the ‘artistic’ fight scene. It sometimes felt like a dance performance rather than a movie. I seriously dunno whether it was a good movie or not but reading an article on the movie states that it is a loose adaption of Hamlet. I didnt see no pigs in that movie muahhaa.. kns.

I would say some parts of the movie was abit ridiculous like the fight scene where the Imperial Guards fought against the White-Masked dudes. Those white masked dudes were jes standing there waiting to be slaughtered. I may have missed the plot here due to the goddamn white screen problem. The ending also abit sad lor coz every main character except Zhang ZiYi died within 2-3  minutes of each other. Sorry to spoilt the movie for those who hasnt seen it.

Niway my first time watching a movie with Jeffery and Joe ended up being such a bad experience. Never in my 3-4 years of watching movies in Star Cineplex that the screen went white or black once…. let alone TWICE… Goddamnit the ticket prices may not be as high as TGV or GSC but that doesnt mean we deserve this sort of shiat. Hopefully Jeff next time (if there is a next time) we can watch an action movie like Spiderman 3 hehe. Provided Star Cineplex doesnt close down by then.

Two thumbs down to Star Cineplex for making a probable gud movie look bad in my books and my blog.

In about exactly 24 hours i’ll be turning 28. Looking back at my life there has been ups and downs, failures and successes, alot of things that im proud of with my life and there are some things that i feel i should have done differently.

Im proud of my family and what we have achieved so far in our lifes. Extremely proud that my 3 brothers are living their dreams and putting their God given talents to good use - whether it is Verne and his R3 revving to podium finishes in the R3TA  and GRA, his marriage (even if it was for an ad campaign for work hehe), Vince and his talents and his charitable heart that is bigger than his stomach or Brian for his talents, maturity and intelligence that has secured his educational and professional future. My parents for raising us and giving us the freedom to choose our destinies and also for raising not only 4 adorable human kids (hehe) but also 2 other kids - Bond and Zen.

There are many things i feel i need to change in the coming year… Some of this changes have been cruelly pasted here on one of my walls by my TeabreakCrew - Hai Thun, Jeff_blur and may_cantek. The first one goes

OK people dun have to rub it in. Im working on it. KNNCCB Similan Island u all hehe.

I always have this urge to drive but God only knows why when i’m at the drivers seat of a car and think of driving i just feel that i have no control over the car and be a menace on the road. Its probably pyschological. Get me a shrink now… oh ya no money… any generous person wanna sponsor me muahahaha. Or anyone know of a self-driving car in the market?? Muahaha

Another thing i need to change is probably my proscrastinating work habit - my ability to put things off until the point i totally forget to do it. And also my ‘fa lan cha’ habit that i have picked up in the last 2-3 years. I seem to be gettin really frustrated with little things that sometimes happens in the office… dunno why… All i know i have to ‘get it fixed’. And while im at it i’d probably have to get my teeth fixed too muahaha… I would like to say sorry to all my beloved colleagues reading this blog… ‘Dui Pu Chi’ for my ‘fa lan cha’-ness and inconsiderate-ness sometimes.. although some of u sometimes deserved it muahahaha - singing and ‘pok choi’ out of the blue ehhee.

And the thing i need to do the most is collect back all my money… for those muthas out there who owe me money - u know who u are… im coming for you… Yes u the guy working in OCBC in KL, and yes you the guy with the colored short hair selling VCD in Imperial and you the the fler in PS2 shop in Pson. And anyone else who owes me money which i have not mentioned…. u’ll be seeing me soon. And if i owe anyone any money (dun think so.. hmm maybe got one lah my dad).. i’ll be seeing you soon too…

On Wesak Day last Friday me and my ‘Teabreak Crew’ - Jeff Blur, Cikgu Maybol, CooNie and Lu Ing@HaiTun, put together a small gathering for current and ex-colleagues of Samling which we later called WeSuckDay Picnic at the newly ‘renovated’ Tanjung Lubang Beach.

As usual Miri people, tell them to come at 7.30am they arrive at half past 8 hehe. I was there with Amin as early as 7.15am to get a good place at the far end of the park. I got the best spot there but was later chased away as a group of 25 people who took control of the shade. Alone and being outnumbered i had to be a wuss and pack up to get another not so great spot elsewhere.

When the OC arrived the first thing i ask him was ‘Jeff, what time issit? What ever happen to come early at 7.30? ". Anyway that minor setback aside we did manage to enjoy ourselves - we enjoyed eating, enjoyed the obscene game i organized with long sausage baloons (until Maybol tells Joe to open bigger hehe)  and  most of all  enjoyed the atmosphere and each others company.

Of course some of us enjoyed ourselves more than others especially Michael, Joe, Jeff_blur and  JeffK being the environmental conservatist they are returned the 4 mermaid (CooNie, Maybol, Hai Tun and Ms Pang) back into the sea kicking and screaming hehe. We however couldnt return the 5th mermaid LC into the sea as she was rather reluctant to lose her earth legs hehe.

Anyway i thank each and everyone of you for making our little gathering such an enjoyable and fun experience.
